PrivacyThis page explains what The site is run by Dr Peter King. Supporter licences are invoiced by Advanced Wireless Technology Ltd. For anything on this page, contact info@rfconsult.uk. The short versionNo accounts, no cookies, no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking scripts, and nothing sold or shared for marketing. The web server keeps standard access logs, and that is the only record made of an ordinary visit. Server logsLike every web server, mine records each request: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, the referring page and your browser’s user-agent string. My hosting provider produces aggregate visitor statistics from these logs using AWStats, which reads the log files on the server. No script runs in your browser to do this, no cookie is set, and nothing follows you to other websites. I use these logs and the resulting statistics to keep the site working, to see which tools are worth developing, and to investigate abuse such as excessive automated requests. The logs are held by my hosting provider and rotated in the normal course of their operation; I do not keep separate long-term copies. An IP address counts as personal data, so the lawful basis is my legitimate interest in running and protecting the site. Cookies and browser storageThe site sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts. Some apps use your browser’s own local storage to hold things you have asked them to hold — a supporter licence file, or settings for a tool. That data stays on your device, is not sent to me, and you can clear it at any time through your browser. Nothing is stored there for analytics or advertising. Using the appsThe tools are designed to work in your browser. Models, measurement files, S-parameter files and IQ recordings that you open in an app are read locally and are not uploaded to me. A few apps do send calculation inputs to the server, because the heavier numerical work runs there. Those inputs are used to compute your result and return it. They are not used for any other purpose, and I do not build a record of what individual users have calculated. Supporter licences and enquiriesIf you request a supporter licence, I hold the named user’s name and email address and your company’s invoicing details. These are used to issue and verify the licence and to raise the invoice, on the basis of our contract, and are kept in accounting records for as long as UK tax law requires, which is six years. When a licensed feature is used, the server checks the licence file; that check is recorded in the same way as any other request. If you email me, I keep the correspondence so I can answer you and refer back to it later. I do not run a mailing list and I will not add you to one. DonationsDonations are handled by PayPal on PayPal’s own pages. I never see your card details. What I receive is the transaction record PayPal shows me, which may include your name and email address. PayPal’s handling of your data is covered by their privacy policy. Links to other sitesPages here link out to LinkedIn, PayPal and various technical references. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies. Your rightsYou can ask what personal data I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to my processing it. Email info@rfconsult.uk and I will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk. I'd appreciate the chance to sort things out directly first. There is no automated decision-making or profiling on this site, and nothing here is aimed at children. Last updated 10 September 2026. |
